![]() Thats what playing on Ascension feels like." You see the problem there? It makes no sense. HIGH RISK = NO REWARD.Ī friend of mine said it the best: "Imagine a country handing out Welfare, but only giving it to the wealthy, not the poor. And because its Ilvl dependent only those with already TOP NOTCH Gear will find decent stuff. Not only are the drop rates too low to make it worth while but it also only works if you already got decent gear. For that reason the Devs introduced an "Ilvl scaled System" that allows you to find Dungeon and Raid Gear in the open world. On Death you lose your Gear / Items, therefore losing tons of progress. On Average it can be around 3 Players attacking a single poor Person. with the worst execution possible. The average encounter in High Risk consists of groups of people ganking newcomers or solo players. The High Risk System.First of all : Its an amazing Idea. Now that we are done with their "best" features, lets talk about the worst one. ![]() ![]() Imagine how nice it must be getting chased by a group of players with 100% Mount Speed, which they bought for Donation Points or the Gold they traded them in for on the first week. Completely destroying the economy from week 1. The Devs encourage their players to buy Items/Cosmetics/P2W Items so they (the paypigs) can sell the product on the AH. Now that we are already at it lets talk about their P2W Aspect. All they do is milk their own customers dry. Thats why there is a "Double Donation Points Event" ongoing every Weekend. They wanna find out how far they can push it until all the player base is driven off. In their Eyes its all about being acceptable, not good. Everyone is running around with the same meta 3-4 builds until it gets nerfed. There is barely any diversity in builds on the non wildcard server. Many Cross-Class Synergies have been removed or limited for no real reason. Of course there is no replacement for a nerfed Random Enchant. The Classless Feature has also became a joke too. And if anything is good it gets nerfed to death, ruining some peoples builds and fun for the game. The Random Enchants are nothing but a random Copy Paste trash that makes no sense in 7/10 Cases. The things they advertise the most are the "Random Enchant Feature" and the "Classless Feature". The main Problems are:ġ)Their disgusting PAY 2 WIN business model 2)The flawed HIGH RISK SYSTEM that benefits gankers 3)Focus on PvE Content on a PvP Server Additionally, you can also see how many points you need to achieve the next rank in the chat log whenever you gain glory. My Review of Ascension WoW, why Wildcard is a good move and why i think that it will ultimately suffer from the same Problems. If you want to see the actual number of glory points you've earned overall, you can see a small message in the chat log when you load in telling you how many points you've earned. The highest ranking title you posses is the current rank you are - it's as simple as that. In order to see your rank as compared to the above list, all you have to do is check your titles. ![]() ![]() Generally there are two main methods to checking your rank. Title ranks are as follows for the Horde and Alliance (for which they are different): RankĬhecking your glory is not really important, but fairly simple. Generally, you gain more glory for objectives completed in battlegrounds, so farming battlegrounds is considered the most efficient way to rank your glory, but if you are really interested in gaining glory ranks as fast as you can (to brag about with that new title), ensuring to pick up any kill you can will help along the way. You gain glory whenever you land killing blows in world PvP or battlegrounds, as well whenever your team completes objectives in battlegrounds. Whenever you achieve a new glory rank (you can see how much you need whenever you gain glory), you are awarded a corresponding title, for which the comprehensive list is below. In Ascension, glory only gives you titles. Unlike in Classic Wow, PvP gear is not locked behind your glory rank and is instead purchasable for honor or arena points. Ascension's Glory System is responsible for tracking your PvP progress. ![]()
